The Bookish Girl

Attack of the Killer Clown

Remember this lovely gift from the beautiful Thursday Night Knitting Girl Kris (who is always here but never comments, *hi Kris*)?

You may have this at home and you should be very very afraid of it. Be forewarned – there is a clown in this innocent stack a very scary clown, a clown worthy of terror and nightmares. The worst part, there are directions on how to create this clown?! Why in the world would anyone want to create such a terrifying object?

January 19th – stay away from it if you know what’s good for you.

** Yes, yes, I skipped ahead and read all the patterns for January. I couldn’t resist. I paid my price with clown filled nightmares. I threw the offending page at Rob and told him to get rid of it. Stupid scary-ass clowns **

** Fear of clowns due in large part to the Stephen King novel It. Read when I was 14 and to this day I cannot look at or be near those wiry-haired goons. **

i guess i can count the 1/19 pattern as a one of the plus sides of not having received this calendar. which i wanted desperately. and still do. pfft.

anyway, to answer your comment on my blog, check out:

it’s first time socks by cabin fever, and they use worsted weight and size 5 dpns. very quick, very easy, and very fun! and most of all, the socks are so comfy cozy!

enjoy your calendar, and maybe you can conveniently “forget” to tear off 1/18 until 1/20 comes around (thereby leaving 1/19 as an unseen day!) :)

Dude, that’s what you get for skipping ahead – scary, bad clowns!!!! I think you’ve realigned your karma by telling us all about it, though. So everything’s alright now. :)

The red toenails? Fabulous. I have a purple thingy full of toenail polish. I almost never paint my fingernails, but I love painting my toenails!

Hi Wendy :) I got that calendar too, and I love it (I must have missed the clown page…) My sister hates clowns–she had a nightmare when she was little that a clown was under her bed and kept taking her covers. Creepy!

Take care, and watch out for those clown buggers!
