Earth to Bookish Girl - We Have Leg
Two observations about the new job:
A - Elisa is evil. She failed to remove the scary offending clown on January 19th in the Knitters Calender that we both have. I realize now why she wanted me to work with her - so she can scare the bejeezes out of me. That and tempt me into trips to the yarn store during lunch.
B - Do I really want to be a part of an office community that has a sign “Please flush after use” over the toilet? I realize that PhD’s can be a little flightly…but, really, is this necessary?!
On the knitting front

We’ve got leg!
These are the no-sweat pants from Interweave Knits. A fun knit for a fun girl..

aww, those pants are cute! you’re doing a great job on ‘em. so elisa left the clown there, eh? so long as she doesn’t knit one up and begift you with it, i think you’re safe. as far as tempting you with lunch hour yarn shopping, man, can i work there? it’d be a heck of a commute :p

Jeez - Blogger was being a brat last night so I couldn’t leave you a comment!
I’m EVIL, huh? Okay, maybe a little. I *might* have gotten a tiny giggle once or twice when I thought about you running out of my office yesterday. But only once or twice. Certainly not more than half a dozen.
The no-sweat pants are coming along great! I can’t wait to see them as an FO.

No Sweat Pants are the best! Mine will be a year old in a couple of months. I wear them constantly, they are so comfy and warm. It is one of the few things I’ve made that I actually wear with a high frequency. The homespun gets even softer after being washed and dried.
I can believe it that PhDs might not remember to flush… we’ve got a lot of weirdos in my department (I hope I don’t suddenly forget how to flush when I eventually get my PhD!)

Those looked SO comfy, Wendy! I’ll be begging you to help me make a pair of my own, I’m sure.

Does Rob know you’re showing that kind of leg on the internet?? Good thing the creepies out there don’t know how soft that legging is…
I’m glad you’re back, and supremely impressed that you kept yourself away so long. I hope that you are settling in nicely over there with Ms. C-knit, and that you are loving your new job.
Happy Thursday!

The pants are off to a great start! I have been thinking about making some of those for my sister… they look really warm!
Have a good weekend, Wendy!
