The Bookish Girl

It’s a Girl!

We are all babies all the time here at The Bookish Girl.

Welcome Isabella Maria

Born: July 6th, 11:18 pm 6lbs 8 oz, 19.5″

She is the baby of my great friend Steph, a roommate from college. If you check back to this post you can see how Baby Bella looked in utero. Little Bean.

It will be awhile before she will fit into her hand knit sweater. I should get a move on and knit up some newborn goodies.

Your heartstrings can rest a bit. As-far-as-I-know there are no babies due for at least 6 months. Apparently my friends were getting a bit busy last fall. Must have been in the water.

she certainly looks like she’s ready to get started doing something – I love the little ones who are incredibly aware of what is going on around them!

I love skipping over here and reading what you’ve been up to – your intarsia challenge has me re-thinking any of my own designs, but now I’ll know where to turn to when/if I decide it’s a good idea.

She looks like a little Queen. Most babies look a little clueless (which they have every right to be) but she looks like she knows what’s up, she’s in charge, and she’s ready to give orders should the need arise.

You never know what might be contagious. I hope KNITTING is the contagious part!… And I hope none of you hit the contagious break-up phase anytime soon….

I’m almost afraid to visit here these days. It isn’t something in the water, is it? Very pretty baby. Welcome to the world, Isabella!
