I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old. My mother noticed that I was squinting down the driveway at our house, so during our next breakfast she put the Cheerios box on the kitchen counter across the room from me. She asked if I could read it. “Sure, it says Cheerios”. I couldn’t read it…but I knew what the damn box looked like.
I have an eye appointment on Friday and am in the market for some new frames. Rob and I went to the store today and I tried a whole bunch on in an effort to figure out which made me look “cool”, “funny”, “chic”, “edgy”. All of this and enough practicality to carry me through the next 2 - 3 years.
I made faces, he took pictures.
Vote, voice your opinion…a prize is to be had. Not sure what yet. But, I have a whole stash waiting to be loved.
There are 8 different frames, Labelled 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9….2 was too poopy to share. Actually others are probably too poopy to share as well however, at this point I could give a flying fart.
The Frame with the most votes wins. That is, unless I don’t like the final choice ;). Winner will be choosen at random.

hmm, did you know that being pregnant can screw with your intra-occular pressure and effect how your lenses are curved? it might not be the best time to get your glasses changed. i was thinking of getting new glasses too while i have health insurance (thank god for state programs for pregnant women) but i didn’t want to end up with a prescription that didn’t work once the baby was born.
I like 1 and 4…they look like the perfect size for your face.
Ditto what Wendy said about preggo-eyes - my script always changes noticibly when preggo. Regardless, I vote for frame choice #1 hands down (eyes down?)

Definitely #1. (You might want to get a spare pair… my daughter has broken at least five pairs of my own glasses since she was born five years ago… most little ones REALLY like glasses.)
They all look fine…except the red ones. Could be a personal aversion though. I knew a couple of strange women and they both wore those Sally Jessie Raphael glasses. Ugh.

Okay, I think something is wrong with my puter LOL. I couldn’t find numbers 3, 5, 6, and 7. All I found was frames 1, 4, 8 and 9… and from those I liked the little Oval ones best… I think that was number 9 wasn’t it…

I would definitely say one. is that the lens crafters in Brookline, it looks familiar.
I like 7, then 1 then 4. You look good in all of them - I would stay away from the red ones though, I did that once it didn’t work out very well.
Having just gone through the search for the perfect sunglasses, I have to vote #9. You look good in them.
Not that you didn’t look good in the others, you just look better in pair #9. Um, I’m going to be quiet now.

Number 1, definitely. And yes, small ones LOVE to pull on glasses, slobber on them, twist them and fling them, so a spare pair is a must.

Wow, I guess I’m the only person that prefers #5. #1 was my second choice. You look very cute in all of them. I hate picking glasses, I can try on the same pair 3 times and hate it twice and love it once. Something about all those frames and mirrors makes me a little crazy.
I like the more rectangler look, so I prefer
