In which the frame is revealed

Posted by Bookish Wendy on Oct 17 2006 | General

As mentioned in previous posts, I settled on a new pair of frames for my glasses. Those chosen were not among the ones photographed for your voting pleasure. They were, however, a direct result of your feedback. I would have never in a billion million years chosen a boxy, biggish pair of glasses for myself. Nothing like the internets to show you how to get things done.

The chosen one:

Presented to you in all of their fuzzy picture goodness. A la no makeup because, honestly, that is usually how I appear.

Here is another photo of the frames:

Cool huh?

The frames are very much like those that received the most votes (see nerdy graph below), except the ones I choose have a bit of color on the inside of the frames. You can’t really see the color in the above picture, it’s a nice green.

Frame #1 (pictured below) was the landslide winner, receiving 48% of the votes. Every vote was counted, even if it was made more than once or if an individual placed a vote for more than one frame.

Frame #1

Our Random Number Generator has picked a winner:

Commenter #17

Michelle, please send an email to bookishwendy at gmail dot com and let me know what your favorite yarns are.

My favorite thing about these contests is getting to know new blogs out there. So many choices, so many amazing, creative, inspiring people out there.

Thanks for voting and for reading and for all the fun comments.

My all time favorite comment was from my Sandy….only because she used the phrase “honest to Bob”. Seriously, there are so many cool phrases out there, this may top them!

  2. Ooohh…I like those! They are like the #1’s (which I did not vote for) but so much better. Good job! Nice to know somebody else out there has a hard time picking frames.

  9. The new frames are awesome! They look great on you. And I didn’t mention it before, but I really like that green sweater you wore when photographing frames for our voting pleasure.

Very sharp! Baby Bookish is sure to love it.

In the new phrases I’ve adopted department, I have Honest to Bob and Bob’s yer uncle. This guy sure gets around!

  11. Hey, we have almost the same glasses! Mine don’t have the cool color on the inside though. Go check mine out at my blog. I never would have picked these out for myself, but I love them. Yours look great.

  12. Absolutely excellent choice! I will be glasses shopping in a couple weeks myself — those are a definite possibility. The deal-breaker, though: are they tall enough to accomodate (threatening music, drum roll, crash of thunder) bifocals?
