Watch the news and be motivated to vote.

Read the newspaper and be motivated to vote.

Look at your neighbors across the sea, the state, the country and be motivated to vote.

See others who do not have the right.

Vote.

Once a year we have a very REAL chance of influencing the course of our world.

Vote.

And for the love of all things beer and wine.  If you live in Massachusetts vote Yes on Question 1.

Because when this baby pops out and I finish breast feeding I am going to need a BIG GLASS OF WINE FROM THE GROCERY STORE!  You wouldn’t deny a pregnant woman, now would you?!

    I had no idea until reading blogs today that you couldn’t buy beer and wine at grocery stores in Massachusetts. I live in Missouri, for crying out loud, and we can buy beer, wine, and liquor, well, everywhere.

    You can’t buy wine in a grocery store??? What sort of primitive shopping experience is that? :-)

    I voted! And I’ll second Rachel: you can have a glass of wine while breastfeeding. A glass of beer per day used to be the prescription for nursing mothers, because it helped with the flow of milk – I kid you not. Not that I’m recommending that, but a lone glass of wine spaced in between feedings, in an older baby, is just fine.

    I was in the Porter Square Shaws late Monday night and they ran an ad over the store speakers in favor of Question 1. It included resoning such as “it is totally normal to have beer and wine at the grocery store” and “if you haven’t noticed, most states have beer and wine in their grocery stores without every single teenager becoming an alcoholic.” (Of course I’m paraphrasing here).

    I guess grocery stores don’t have to be non-partisan, huh? ;-)
