The Bookish Girl

I went through the desert on a cat with no name

Meet – Cat with no Name!

Started: 11/06, Finished: 11/06

Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Organic Cotton

Color: Graphite (625, lot 1862)) and Drift (614, lot 3153)

Needles: Size 6 Bamboo

Gauge: Knit flat, post block – 4.5 sts/in and 6.3 rows/in

Pattern: Cat, Rabbit, and Teddy Bear Pattern in Natural Knits for Babies and Mom by Louisa Harding

Modifications: Used a different yarn than the called for – however, it’s a toy – it doesn’t really matter what you use!

Notes: This pattern was quick and easy. The second that I have knit from this book (The first was the Kai Cable Sweater). I love this little kitty – it will serve has Baby’s first toy and hopefully a playmate.

I may go back and change the nose color as it’s a bit hard to see. Maybe if I outline it in cream?

The yarn was awesome. I love it. It’s the second time I have used it. The first time was on a long ago gifted baby sweater.

I knit this up using US 7’s to get a tighter fabric. I’m glad I did as this baby is stuffed to the gills!

The little scarf was knit up with waste yarn (Rowan Chunky Print). Every high flying cat needs a scarf.
