Not only is the baby peeing, but also swallowing…
Early in the second trimester, your baby starts to swallow the fluid, pass it through his/her kidneys, and excrete it as urine, which he then swallows again, recycling the full volume of amniotic fluid every few hours. Don’t think about it too much; it’s just the beginning of the dealing with bodily fluids part of motherhood.

Look at that lovely belly! I looked like that with my youngest – all out in front and biiiig. He came out really cute, so I can’t complain
