A Birth and a day
I am now 31 years old and a mom. What a strange year it has been. I am, by far, the happiest I have ever been. Motherhood suits me well, if I do say so myself.
Laura has left some information about the sweater pattern and yarn she used in the comments of the previous post. Sophia wore her sweater *again* today. Look how grumpy she is about it!
There have been a few requests for pictures - who am I to deny the masses? (ps - Sophia’s photo album can be viewed here).
The cuteness of that smile is almost unbearable. Happy Birthday, Mom!

Happy Birthday!
I spent my first birthday as a Mom with Bridget in the Pediatric unit at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. (Pneumonia and a 105 degree fever… I was a little too worried to care how old I was turning…) Bridget was released late in the evening- and my next door neighbors left a bakery cake and a vase of flowers at the door. (It was a much nicer day than it sounds.)
Bridget and I just arrived home from this year’s birthday dinner.
I hope your cake was delicious, and that you have many many more joyous birthdays.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I just looked through the Sophia gallery on Flickr - she is *such* a doll. I can’t decide who she takes after. I think she’s a good mix of you both. It’s funny, looking at her newborn pictures made me realize that I don’t have a newborn anymore… Six months looks a lot different but since you’re with the baby all the time, you don’t see how she changes.
