The Bookish Girl

My Hero

My Brother-in-law is a fire chief. This week there was a major fire in his town. I scooped this picture off of the local paper’s website.

    aaaawwww :o )

Is he volunteer or full time? RR is on the volunteer department in our town and while they’ve never given oxygen to a cat I’ll have to tell you sometime why they all refer to the plastic CPR mouth-to-mouth thingy as a ‘peanut stopper’ ;o)

Despite the obvious, the best thing about this picture is that you can tell by the look on his face that he really cares! Awesome!!

It just does not surprise me in the least.

But it’s wonderful, and it’s heart warming, and it makes me feel good about being a human being.

So, give him a hug for me the next time you see him, and in the meantime, give Rob a hug for me for being part of such an awesome family.

Firemen are the best. Really, it’s good to have real heroes among us. Tell him he melted the blogoshpere with that little act of kindness. :)
