yay! congrats! that's so exciting! can't wait to see pics.

it was fun being able to see you and say "hi" on Saturday. it's a little funny to de-lurk in person. :) but worth it. Sophia is absolutely charming.

As a former Rochester resident, I'm trying to guess where that might be. I lived in Brighton and also off Culver Rd, below Monroe but before East. Good luk Bookish family!

I told you a little about our house-buying adventures over the weekend, but do you know... I drove by this house once, months before we actually looked at it, and wrote it off -- I was SURE that it was more than we could afford. There's a very distinctive window jutting out at a 45-deg angle on the second floor and I recognized it INSTANTLY (and ohmygod, I was so excited) when the realtor had it in the "likely suspects" pile for us. Heh. It's been 20-plus years since we moved in. I remember setting Ali up in her swing in the spot for the stove so she could watch me clean kitchen cupboards before move-in day. I can't believe it's been so long.

I'm so happy for you.
